Dohrn & Timm GmbH & Co has relaunched some of its juice ranges, including its brands Grünland and Grünfink in Pure-Pak® Sense Aseptic cartons. Introduced in mid-May, the launch of the new cartons follows the installation of the highly advanced Pure-Pak® Aseptic System filling machine at their production site outside Berlin.
Maximum flexibility, high efficiency and space saving are the key benefits of the new aseptic filling machine for Dohrn & Timm. This includes the ability to fill high capacities whilst ensuring a shelf life of up to 12 months. The filling speed of up to 12,000 cartons per hour has given the company production efficiencies for its popular fruit and vegetable juice brands ; including also products with low pH.
Dohrn and Timm was Elopak’s first customer to install the Pure-Pak® Aseptic System filling line for aseptic juice back in 2014, launching its organic brand Grünland in Pure-Pak®
Diamond cartons with the Curve corner panel. The latest move to Pure-Pak® Sense Aseptic cartons with Linea corner panel for its increasing range of fruit and vegetable juices brings further convenience and differentiation.
“In the competitive fruit juice market, we are seeing ever-widening product ranges with a variety of product and flavour options. The pressure to innovate is on the rise, consumer demand for new taste experiences is growing. This leads to increased demands on cost and machine efficiency and also the subject of packaging flexibility is becoming increasingly important. At the same time, the wide range of product and packaging variants makes it difficult for many consumers to find the right product,” says Thomas Schramm, Marketing & Sales Director at Dohrn & Timm. More convenience and better differentiation “Today the market demands more than generic packaging. Together with rising preferences for healthy products fuelling the increase in fruit and vegetable juices, there is a need for something more than just a carton, something new with clear standout. The Pure- Pak® Sense Aseptic carton delivers a more attractive and appealing package with new, interesting and functional features,” adds Michael Oppenheimer, Elopak’s Head of Sales Market Unit Germany. “The state-of-the-art cababilities of this filling platform provides the flexibility in costs and production that meet the changing demands in a competitive market.”
