New-York’s Newburg Egg launch in Pure-Pak® cartons

For over 40 years, Newburg Egg in Woodridge, New York has been delivering egg products to food manufacturers, distributors, bakeries and the foodservice industry across the United States and Canada.

In late 2016, Newburg began packaging all its liquid egg products in Pure-Pak® cartons. Liquid and frozen whole eggs, egg whites, and yolks are now packaged in quart (946ml) and 5lbs Pure-Pak® Classic cartons, both with and without a closure. The liquid egg products are distributed to large bakeries and foodservice customers. “We moved to Pure-Pak® cartons because of both price and quality,” adds Moses Goldstein, President, Newburg Egg Corporation. “We must ensure the freshness of our egg products with safe packaging that our customers find easy to handle, store and dispose of.” The high print quality enabled by Offset Litho Printing from Elopak was also a key factor for Newburg Egg. “For Newburg the Litho print capability adds to the quality of the packaging solution across all its liquid egg ranges,” adds Mark Lajoie, National Accounts Manager, Elopak Inc. The new packaging launch follows a three-year agreement between Elopak Inc and Newburg Egg. “We look forward to our new partnership with Newburg, who produce around 3 million cartons of liquid eggs a year,” says Mark Lajoie. “We provide larger size Pure-Pak® cartons which are efficient throughout the supply chain, easy-to-use and easily disposable. With such huge volumes, safety and convenience of packaging are very important to enable Newburg to deliver high quality products to every customer, every time.”
