Global Operational Excellence Director

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Global Operational Excellence Director to lead the implementation of our Elovation program across 12 production sites. This role is pivotal in driving manufacturing performance improvements through Lean manufacturing and TPM/WCM principles.

This position can be located in Terneuzen (NL), Aarhus (DK) or Oslo (NO). 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the renewal and redefinition of the global excellence program roadmap, focusing on Lean and TPM/WCM methodologies.
  • Set strategic goals for the program, aligning with corporate objectives and challenging the status quo.
  • Ensure close alignment with Safety, Quality, Supply Chain, Technology, Finance, and HR departments.
  • Collaborate with site managers to define multi-year implementation plans and relevant KPI targets.
  • Monitor results and adjust activities to achieve targets.
  • Perform regular process confirmations and program maturity assessments to coach and support progress.
  • Deliver relevant training to sustain operational excellence capabilities.
  • Support and mentor Continuous Improvement project team leaders and their teams.
  • Drive, monitor, and support best practice utilization across all Elopak plants.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree.
  • Over 10 years of experience within Manufacturing and Supply Chain.
  • Proven track record in implementing operational excellence programs, with practical experience in TPM/WCM.
  • Previous leadership experience in large production departments or sites, ideally in process or converting industries.
  • Strong skills in Change Management, coaching, and presenting.
  • Ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical mindset and basic financial understanding.
  • Experience in the paper & packaging or FMCG sectors is a plus.
  • Planning and logistics experience is a plus.
