PLANT DIRECTOR (Little Rock, Arkansas)

PLANT DIRECTOR, Little Rock plant, Arkansas

Elopak is building a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Little Rock.  The plant will produce Pure-Pak ® cartons (Gable Top packaging) for liquid dairy, juices, plant-based products and liquid eggs and over 100 colleagues will contribute to our team success. We are looking for a talented Plant Director to join the team in August/September 2024.



Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, Region Americas, the Plant Director contributes to Elopak success by executing strategy and manufacturing plans to meet customer needs.  This role strongly collaborates with Elopak Region Americas team members. The Plant Director manages plant’s overall objectives by setting standards and performance indicators. The incumbent will be responsible for Health and Safety, Quality, Production. Maintenance, Shipping & Receiving, Continuous Improvement. In a context of starting a new production facility, employee mobilization and commitment are at the heart of his/her management style. This person must possess strong leadership, abilities to adapt, to act, to demonstrate visible leadership, to be highly involved in all levels of operations and to have a strong entrepreneurial fiber.

More specifically, the role involves:

  • Actively participate in setting up the new facility by being part of a multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Supervise and control manufacturing operations to meet or exceed safety requirements, quality standards, delivery targets and cost objectives through efficient use of personnel, equipment, and facilities.
  • Actively support all plant-wide continuous improvement efforts aimed at increasing efficiencies and reducing losses during start up, ramp up and steady operations phases.
  • Ensure maintenance and engineering strategies and plans to reduce equipment downtime.
  • In collaboration with finance team, manage key performance indicator for the site.
  • Collaborates actively with the Human Resources Operations Manager in maintaining healthy working relationships, in ensuring proper onboarding and training of team members, cultivating employee engagement and retention.


  • Over 8 years’ experience in operations management in a manufacturing environment, ideally in the liquid packaging and/or printing sector.
  • Over 5 years’ experience in leadership, multidisciplinary team management and plant management in a global context.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, operations management, engineering or related field.
  • Recognized leadership in safety initiatives aimed at creating a “zero accident” culture.
  • Proven experience in understanding and applying continuous improvement principles and practices (TPM, 5S, Lean manufacturing, etc).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sense of urgency, self-motivated, proactive, high energy and results-oriented.
  • Detail-oriented, logical approach, ability to find root cause and solve problem, to set priorities and track progress.
  • Uncompromising work ethic and integrity.
  • Knowledge of SAP an asset
