Field Service Engineer (USA) – multiple positions


Elopak in Americas has a fantastic opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join one of the most reputable and environmentally friendly companies in the liquid food packaging industry. The America Region is growing at a fast pace and we are looking for a talented team member who wants to contribute to our sustainable growth and continuous success. This position is based in USA and is intended to support customer in Americas, mainly in USA.

As a key representant of Elopak, the Field Service Engineer is responsible for managing customers needs for field product quality and issue resolutions. Key actions and outputs include problem resolution and follow-up actions that permanently solve problems for customers. The individual must possess strong ability to foster customer satisfaction and loyalty through effective partnerships.


  • Collaborate with Service Team members on installation projects.
  • Provide first call response and technical support on customer complaints and identified product performance issues in field.
  • Act as the technical expert in troubleshooting and problem-solving for filling equipment, downstream equipment, conveyors, case packers etc.
  • Work side-by-side with customer manufacturing leaders and field operators to troubleshoot, solve problems and provide technical support.
  • Manage complaints and insure timely resolution by insuring good communication between customer, spare parts and sales teams.
  • Support Paper Sales team in achieving strategic goals and annual budgets through customer and competitive intelligence gathering.
  • Provide customer training education and technical support to field sales organization where needed.
  • Be readily available to accept repair, install and/or  preventative maintenance calls from customer
  • Provide onsite technical support and repairs of customer’s equipment
  • Able to travel (domestic and international)
  • Must be organized and have the ability to manage multiple priorities


The ideal candidate has a demonstrated track record of handling field technical issues and contributing to business goals combined with in-depth knowledge of liquid packaging machines and downstream equipments. Additionally, the role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, organization and planning skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

  • Technical School, Electrical and Mechanical, PLC knowledge
  • 7-10 years relevant experience in field technical, product management or quality engineering roles and aseptic packaging and related equipment
  • Demonstrated track record of customer satisfaction and reputation for subject matter expertise
  • Ability to analyze, diagnose and problem-solve product performance issues in liquid packaging machines, downstream handling equipment, case packers, wrap rounds etc.
  • Ability to assimilate relevant data and information to make informed recommendations
  • A self-starter and highly motivated, ability to work individually and within a team
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office literate)
  • The ability to travel 95% of the time or as needed
  • Must be able to take direction and follow instructions explicitly
