Quality, Health & Safety Coordinator (Little Rock, Arkansas)

We have a great opportunity for a versatille QHSE Coordinator to join the pack in November/December 2024! Elopak Inc, one of the top global, food packaging manufacturers is currently building a new, state of the art manufacturing facilities at the Port of Little Rock and need a QHSE Coordinator to be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and execution of quality control, physical health and safety, and environmental activities in our plant.

Pay range: $62,000-$70,000 based on experience.

PURPOSE:

  • Provide direction and assistance on the implementation, development, training and maintenance of QHSE practices.
  • Ensure that all assessments as required by legislation are conducted and reviewed at relevant intervals and ensure appropriate records are maintained accordingly.
  • Advise operators regarding quality and conformity of products in process.
  • Check the quality of products in process, according to established procedures (BQH manual), operating procedures (SOP’s) of the Quality System (ISO) presses, sealers, tooling, packaging, delivery.
  • Conduct workplace quality control, health and safety, and environmental inspections and audits, notifying Senior Management where correction or improvement actions are required.
  • Enhance company-wide QHSE awareness and provide/identify the need for training where and when considered necessary. Maintain accurate records.
  • Analyze process problems and help find solutions. 
  • Participate in accident investigation processes, support teams in identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Communicate policy, practice, and procedure throughout all departments within the Company.

HEALTH AND SAFETY:

  • Adopt safe behaviors by integrating OSHA requirements into the plant.
  • Comply with Elopak America occupational, health, and safety rules and procedures.
  • Participate in the prevention of work-related incidents.
  • Protect the health, safety and physical integrity of self and others.
  • Coordinate safety trainings ( high work, lockout /tagout, hazardous products, first aid, fire drill etc)

TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform trend analysis and daily testing monitoring on the GE-MES Quality System.
  • Ensure compliance with the applicable regulatory requirements (SQF, HACCP, ISO, FDA)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum three years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in QHSE management of a plant, manufacturing, and machining type environment.
  • Able to effectively communicate to supervisors and employees.
  • Versatile and capable of overseeing each of these roles.
  • Strong safety mindset and good leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO and hygiene standards (SQF, HACCP, FDA).

 SCHEDULE:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • On call and weekends as needed
